Omolú, also called Obaluaê, is the orisha of healing and illness, lord of the earth. He covers the wounds of body and soul, teaching humility and transformation.
History
It is said that Omolú covered his body with straw to hide his wounds and, once healed, became lord of health and sickness. He is the physician of the poor, who turns pain into healing.
