Iemanjá is the mother of all orishas, queen of the sea. A welcoming mother, she embraces her children with her blue mantle and governs motherhood and protection.

History

Originally lady of the river Ogun in Africa, in Brazil she became the queen of the sea, celebrated with flowers and offerings cast upon the waters. She is the mother who welcomes and comforts all her children.
