Exu is the lord of the paths and communication, the first to be greeted. A messenger between the worlds, he opens and closes the works, ensuring order and the protection of the session.

History

In the Yoruba tradition, Exu is the orisha of movement and exchange, the one who carries people’s requests to the orishas. Often misunderstood outside Umbanda, he is in truth the guardian who keeps the balance between the worlds.
